Meal in 5 Minutes and Free Canning Food

I also had a meal on my link that was less than 5 minutes.  Do you remember? I also put in how to get free food for canning.

5 minute Meal and Free Food!

It’s been a while since I posted about canning.  I use my canned meat so much.  When I have mentioned this to friends they are shocked.  Some say they don’t like the taste of canned meat.  I know I am not a fan of commercially canned meat.  I am not sure why home canned meat tastes so much better.  I use this as a money and time saving option often!  You can add a can of hamburger to so many dishes!  Today I was using up some packaged meals.  I had Annie’s Macaroni and Cheese.  I also had guest over that I hadn’t planned on coming over for lunch. To make my own meal stretch today I added a can of hamburger and dehydrated peas. If you’ve never heard of these, don’t worry too much; only two years ago I had never heard of them either.

But let me show you a picture.

Wow!   A complete meal ready to go and it tasted delicious!  The great thing was when I canned my hamburger, I canned 48 total that day.  Do you want to see what I used to can the meat?

Energy Boost

Ingredients for the modified Chia Seed Snack

Okay, Along with foodie information and being overworked!  We all suffer from the drag feeling in the afternoon don’t we?  If you are not in that category you are lucky!

Well for the rest of us.  I was watching Dr. Oz the other day.  Usually I am WAY TOO busy to watch TV of any sort.  So this was crazy that I was able to see such an amazing show.  It was a show that the audience got to decide what he talked about.  One of the things that came up was a “cure” and make sure it is healthy for the afternoon drag feeling.

Well I personally had to try it for a while before I wanted to tell you about it.  I didn’t want you to try it and it not work.  That would be a big disappointment!

Well not only did I try it, but my husband tried it as well!  We both LOVED IT!

Peanut Butter, Chia Seeds, and Honey in a container but not mixed yet.

Now you can decide how much to but it was two basic ingredients.  He suggested Peanut Butter and Chia Seeds. (Like a little bit) I can’t find it on his site.  Now I personally added my local honey to the mix.  Local honey helps you with allergies.  It helps keep cold symptoms away.  Oh for another blog!  I need to tell you about the benefits of honey!

But anyway, so you mix peanut butter, chia seeds and honey for that afternoon drag.  Try it!  Tell us how you feel after you tried it for a while.
